"Self-scan" lets you order any time you want

To answer the pleas of customer who buy less than $10,000 worth of fasteners annually, yet want automated inventory management, Atlantic has introduced a simple-to-use Palm-based bar code scanner.

It sends orders to our computer by phone line.

Here's how it works:
Customers supply their fastener list and we provide the bar code labels and scanner (fees may apply). They stick the labels on their storage bins and shelves. When supplies run low, they zap the labels and upload orders effortlessly -- any time they want.

The scanner's easy to use. Only requirements are an AC outlet and analog phone line such as one for a fax machine, which can be shared.

Since the scanner is a modified Palm computer, it also stores addresses, holds appointments and manages tasks.

For customers who buy more than $10,000 worth of fasteners annually, Atlantic offers vendor managed inventory.
