Atlantic offers RoHS compliant fasteners and expert help

Speaking today before a group of manufacturers who sell to Europe, Atlantic President Tony Peterson offered help on Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) conformance issues.

"First off," he noted, "there's no need to be alarmed even at this late date. Atlantic Fasteners understands the difference between Hexavalent (non-compliant) and Trivalent (compliant) chromate zinc dip and we know the best sources."

For more than one year, he said, Atlantic has been suggesting alternatives, such as organic finishes and competitive materials like stainless steel. "We've offered corrosion resistance comparisons, arranged for stripping and replating, and provided proper certification," he stressed. "We can do the same for you."

To master the topic, he said Atlantic had attended RoHS seminars nationwide.
